I suppose I should be responding with my personal account.

"Tabs and Slots" is the collaborative name that my friend, Chris Drummonds, and I use together.

I know it's fantasy-speak, but I think just having November 1st off from school or work would be the best of both worlds.

Somebody also brought up a good point.

It seems that a lot of people here grew up with fun Halloween school experiences, which is awesome. I guess I had the misfortune of it NOT being so fun at my schools (middle/high school), or maybe it was just me. Regardless, somebody made the point that going to school on Halloween built up anticipation for that night of trick or treating and good times. I definitely remember that feeling and I enjoyed it.

The weather was fine so our best guess was that on a Saturday, there were a lot of adult parties, or other social events competing with TOT. When Halloween fell on Sunday last year, our numbers went back to 0ver 600 and each year when it falls on a weekday, we do well. My vote is to leave it where it belongs.
And WOW! That is REALLY impressive.

To be honest, I think in my entire life, the most trick-or-treators we've ever gotten was maybe... 50 or 60? And that would be a good Halloween, when I was younger.

These days, we're lucky to get 10. Last year, I believe my friend's house got 0, and the year before, they got 1, while we got like 10.

Which is always a shame. I'd love to get even 50 trick-or-treators. What does your town do differently than the ones I've spent Halloween at? Give us your secrets!

EDIT: Sorry for the double post.

heck no. when it's on a weekday, then my town does different things all weekend long, plus we get to go trick or treating on the actual day. plus, then we get to have different costumes for every day. when it's on the weekend then it all gets crammed into one day, and there's not enough time in the day to do it all.
