I can't imagine the amount of work that went into this. Great exposure for the band too!

I give people a lot of credit cause that's a ton of work I'm sure, not to mention a ton of money. But these light shows for me are just so far from my style- far from what I think a halloween display is all about. I think inflatables are look better, if that's any indication of what my opinion is about light shows- and I don't like inflatables either.
Kudos to those who choose this style, all the work they put in, and all the money they spend. But for me, that's just ain't halloween.

These lights shows are impressive as all get up at first, but their interest fades quickly because you've seen all there is to see halfway through the first song.

I think this type of lighting in a display or a haunt has HUGE potential, I agree. Sync'd lighting can add amazing things if utilized right. That's how I'd use it- to enhance a display or haunt. But the style in the video, which is the most popular way, has no charm for me. If I were to attempt that style, I'd be the most broke guy in town because when you do it the traditional way sync'd to music, it's really important to have many different scenes so it doesn't get boring, and also be able to build up to a finale. I shoot fireworks professionally and these type of lights shows should emulate the formula that makes a great firework show. But that would take serious, serious bucks- not realistic I don't think for the average user. And it also takes a good programmer.

I also think these light shows have huge potential...especially when used in connection with props and other effects.
