Hello Harried Halloween Haunters!
I was wondering if anyone had any special tips for using black lights outside of a darkened structure. I've painted many a black light maze for civic groups, etc, and they work well, however, when I try to throw a spot of black light fun in a dark area of my yard, the effect is not very dramatic. Is there some sort of recommended black light that works well (I know fluorescent lights are better than the incandescent lights we had in the 70's!) Have any of you used the CFL type?
Hoping to glow eerily from the shadows!

I have found that the LED UV(Black) lights seem to put off the most intense/furthest light. The LEDs are directional so they only cast the light forward. I have used both the fluorescent and incandescent lights before and found that the LED style works best for projection. Please note that I am not a lighting professional and this is just my experience.
Others may have different techniques or better results from other types of bulbs.
Happy Haunting!!
