I am having a Halloween party with some of my friends and really want to scare them. I have been making up stories about "strange" things happening while I've been working on my haunt. I've also told them that I want to have a seance at the party to see if we can tap into something paranormal. I've already arranged for my sister to be hiding and to "interact" with us during the seance. We have been rehearsing it and I really think I will scare everyone. Especially since everybody will be drinking, I really think they will fall for it. Do you guys think this is mean? I would personally love a good Halloween scare and would consider it a very thoughtful gesture for someone to go out of their way to scare me...of course I realize most people aren't like us here on the forum. I just hope I don't lose any friends after the party lol. Does anyone else plan any elaborate Halloween pranks? If so, what were they and how did they go?

The only thing we do that could be considered a prank is we have the Jeepers Creepers Creeper above our entry way, and people have to walk under him to get to the front door. We have a "victim" wrapped in a sheet at his feet, and just a fake arm is exposed. We pour fake blood down the arm, and let it drip down the sides of the platform they are on. Lastly we have a "puddle of blood" made from red self-vulcanizing rubber on the ground where the blood would drip if it were coming off the platform.

Where the gag comes in is we have an insulated IV bottle inside the victim that's filled with plain hot water. The bottle feeds a hose with an IV regulator that lets the water drip out a couple of drops per second, and the water drips down from where the blood from the victim would fall. People who walk underneath get hit with that water, and about half of them swear they're seeing blood. They'll scream and start wiping themselves because they see the blood stain on the platform and the puddle beneath, and their brains do all the rest. It takes about 5-10 seconds before they convince themselves they have water on them and not blood.
