One week to go. Some of us, for whatever reasons, start late. I've been watching all you lucky people setup all month and getting antsy. Now it's time for the late starters to catch up! Keep us posted with your progress!
Finally, my graveyard fence is up- the first of many hurdles to get this years display up and ready.

Looking good!
I love your cemetary fence. I've thought about making my own for quite some time and just have never gotten around to doing it. That may be a project I tackle for next year though

Is the tombstone with 1066 on mean anything? I know that was the year of the battle of Hastings.
I'm jealous and antsy. I cannot start to set up until Saturday night due to the brats tearing up the area. They struck down the raod last weekend.Making the world a funnier place, one blucky at a time

Very impressive lighting James B! What kind of lights are you using?

Unleashed my inflatable this afternoon.
Took these two (blurry) cellphone camera pics about an hour ago. The streetlight is maybe 10' or 12' from the end of my driveway. Although this pic makes it look like one's staring directly into the sun (
), it's not really that bad in-person. Still, it remains to be seen how just much and how frequently I'll be cursing it when I start setting up lighting.
As can be seen in the second pic, despite the streetlight (taken with my back to it), my small front yard is actually rather dark. The white light visible behind the inflatable is from the motion-sensor floodlight above my neighbor's garage, which was triggered when I walked out my front door (underneath the yellow glow.)
From all I've read here on the Forum, I've learned how important lighting is for one's display. So this will be challenging . . .Last edited by Saruman of Many Colours; 10-25-2011 at 06:23 PM. Reason: To clarify.
