here are some pictures of my Halloween camping weekends,,, they are a mix of the 2 campgrounds,,,the first weekend beautiful weather,,, but not alot of people into it as other years,,, every one loved mine, but it was only one of 2 that did alot,,,, the second weekend, had the site I didn't want, but it did turn out better than expected, the first day was nice, the 2nd started out ok,, but turned in to a major downpour from after noon til the early morning of the next day,, then the wind kicked in,,, 40 to 50 miles per hour gusts,, with a steady 35 MPH for the whole day,, the FCG was out,,, as was the flying witches,,, but put the ghost of the FCG in the trees with the black light, she looked good, and in the wind, blew cool,,, when she wasn't stuck in the tree/bush!! LOL!! but all in all the 2nd week end, even with my weather woes, was FUN!! I mean I had the best time ever,,,imagine, Halloween, Christmas morning, and your birthday all rolled in to one, and that was my weekend,,,, every one showed up, even with the weather, saw only 2 empty sites out of 293, and all were decorated in some way,,, the park lite up at night with orange and purple! people had walk thur haunts, a haunted "tent" some one had the Wizard of Oz playing on the front of their trailer all evening(and we all know how I love that) AND met a new Halloween / witch lover friend, got her email to keep in touch, and am trying to get her over here,,,,, people said such nice things , some one told me mine was their favorite cuz I make all my own haunt,,,, and could tell it was a labor of love,,, and they love the goofy tombstone sayings,,,,, so many people walk by and read them and laugh,,,,, one gal told me her friend was a real blond, she had to explain them to her,, LOL!! well, enough rambling, I just loved it all.... AND found a great new site to haunt for next year, (I might have to take a day off of work, or stay the whole week before the festival just to get it,,, it rocks)
any way, here are some of my pics, I have more in a album of the same name as the thread here, thanks for looking and enduring my ramblings!!

the 2 side by side are actually not connected in the site, alot of haunt between, it is sorta each end! LOL!

Those pictures actually make me want to camp. (ok maybe an RV would be required LOL)

I love your Witches Bethene! Did you make their dresses?

I don't camp but I'm going to our local campground tonight to go through the haunted trail/barn then go through the camp sites to see everyones decorations followed by hot chocalate at the bon fire....But then I'm coming home for a nice hot shower and a warm bed....LOL.....ZR

Your display looks great - esp. in this setting. Sounds like you had fun. We TOT'd at our local Campground last weekend - being out in the woods with Halloween decorations around really ads an extra layer of spookiness. Good work!

That looks great. I love camping and Halloween all in one. We have did it last year and this year. We just had ours last weekend. Great weather and turnout. We had a lot of compliments and people ask about certain things. I'll post some pics in a bit.

Bethene it looks wonderful as always. I love the witch scene what a great atmosphere to have all of that amongst the forest and trees!

Purpleferrets3, yup, made the dresses, but sorts just whipped them up, I try to make as much my self as possible,,, to be unique,, the grey dress is just a piece of material,,with a hole cut in the center, and 2 rectangles cut for arms and pieced together,,, and because of the wind, used part of her head piece to wrap around her waist ,,,,
