Every time I play it, I think it would be a fun and kid friendly theme for a display. It could even be done with the smaller half-size zombie props. Too late for me to do this year, but I'm wondering if anyone has done it.

What a great idea! You could really get creative with the plants, too.

I'm still contemplating doing this. I'd like to keep a single PVZ thread unless it really grows to need to be in different sections.

First: I found a pretty neat Threepeater costume here

Second: I was remembering a dancing, singing Xmas tree from a white-elephant party last year. If I find one after Xmas, I'd like to strip off the tree and maybe make a dancing sunflower out of it. Depends on how thick the innards are. Also, I'm wondering how easy it might be to change the recorded song - to "There's a Zombie on Your Lawn", of course. At the very least you could disconnect the speaker and use another player - maybe the tree mechanism could trigger the player...

Third: Apart from any costumes the family might wear, I'm imagining my display would be in a small scale. I recall seeing a few Halloween props of skeletons (maybe zombies or others, too) that were about 12"-18" tall, but I didn't pay a lot of attention to them. Are they a fairly common item? Are there similar props in a different scale usually available? Just wondering what scale will be best to plan on.
I'm the guy your mother should have warned you about.

It'd also be cool to do a The Creeps! display.
