Thread: Help identifying a 70's Decoration

Anybody know what these types of decorations are made of?

sorry I was born in the 80's so I don't remember that stuff. Cool stuff though.

Hey Jollygorilla I believe those are made of a matted plastic material. They are not fabric from what I have seen and I dont have the exact name for them. I have researched them some in the past and thats the best description I can come up with.

They're called plastic popcorn decorations (melted is optional, but they are melted).

I have 2 of those pumpkins, one is on our attic door the other on the back door. I also have a snowman for Christmas. Plastic popcorn is the right term though I'm not sure why, it's not very popcorn-like IMHO.

Definitely plastic!! We used to have similar ones growing up. I would love to find those again!!!

Yea, we used to have a Santa for Christmas made of that stuff. It was from the '60's.

I remember those, we had them when I was little. They were plasticy as others have said above.
