With our dramatically increased number of visitors our server configuration just is not handling it well enough.
I have been working with various server consultants to properly expand.
I am working hard to resolve any "server busy" messages and increase the speed of the site.
Normally when we are slow, they are only that way for a few minutes.

This is very congenial and collegial place to hang out. Over the last several months, I've spent many hours here reading both current and older threads, and getting a better idea of what I hope to accomplish for this year's (and future) Halloween display.
In fact, my old haunting-grounds, where I'd wasted so much time since daily late 2001
-- the Spawn.com message board (comics/toys/movies/sports) was shut down late last Thursday night by the company that had sponsored it for over a decade.

Thanks, Larry! I have been pleasantly surprised by how FEW 'server busy' messages I've seen and how fast those few have been cleared up. You do a great job and i think we all really appreciate it. Especially at this time of year when I'm sure you'd rather be making props like the rest of us than trying to speed up the sever.

Even tho the busy server really irks me I am thankful that this forum is here...I can deal with it.

Thanks Larry!!! A few server busy messages from time to time are well worth dealing with. This is by far THE BEST forum out there.... we are just having growing pains and that is actually a good thing..lol

I didn't see this thread before I posted about this on another thread. So, I'll repeat my suggestion to the Boss Man.:
Make ALL the old timers log out of the forum!!!! Us newbies (anyone that became a member after June 2011) need to stay on here and read about props, parties, etc.... You old timers have had plenty of time to read every danged thread, for Pete's sake. lol j/k
