Has anyone started with their Halloween or Fall activities yet?
We went to an annual Apple Butter Festival this past Saturday. We have also already gone to the patch and picked out our carving pumpkins. Last Friday we also had our first October bon fire. Complete with hot dogs, smores, and ghost stories.

“Do you know the terror of he who falls asleep? To the very toes he is terrified, because the ground gives way under him, and the dream begins.”

We use to get a group of guys together and do haunted houses and haunted hayrides. Unfortunately one year some people were part of the group we were not familiar with and they threw water on some of the students doing the haunted hayride. Soaked them in cold weather. Ruined it for all involved and we haven't done anything like that since.

This weekend we have our annual pulling out day. It's the day we wash our boat, sit by the bon fire at night and talk about how great/bad the summer was and how horrible the winter will be. lol Sat. night we have our annual German Restaraunt get together. To me that is the opening for Fall to really hit. Colder weather, heavy beer with sausage and mustard. Then I get into the swing of decorating for Halloween.
Maybe I'll bring back over the stuff for smore's to the boat. I want to do graham crackers, hershey or peanut butter cups, marshmallow, put in a bowl and then drizzle raspberry or strawberry marmalade over it all.

Taking our Boy Scout Troop to a haunted Hayride on Saturday. Plan to attend our local Zoo Boo, and at least two other haunted attractions before Halloween.
Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

We went to an OktoberFest at Sugar Mtn. last weekend in Boone, N.C.
The fall leaf colors were peaking and the air was cool. Really felt like my favorite season then.
