...at Michaels. They've condensed Halloween to one side of one aisle. Marking certain things down and the stock is getting thin. The other side of the aisle is now Christmas bows and ribbon. The downward spiral has begun. I'm glad I'm done shopping.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... –

Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

The nearby Target has a lot of Xmas stuff out already. I think before Thanksgiving is almost too soon to start marketing Xmas, but well before Halloween? *sigh*

I don't mind craft stores like Michaels and Joanns putting out Christmas stuff early. Crafts take a while to get done and need more time.
It annoys me when stores like Wal-mart, Target and such put out their Christmas displays, because they aren't craft stores, they just sell premade stuff that has no purpose being out so long before Christmas....somewhere in the north-woods darkness, a creature walks upright.
And the best advice you may ever get is never to go out…at night.

I'm waiting for them to push it so far forward that everyone starts complaining. Like before August. The stores think they can sell more Christmas stuff if they have it out earlier. Which is probably true, up to a point. I think we're getting close to that pont....

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

I work for CVS and they already sent all the Christmas merchandise along with the Halloween and expect it to me out. We have no room in our store and all the Christmas merchandise is piled in the already crammed back room. I have a feeling they will start putting it out soon otherwise we wont be able to walk in the stock room.

Our Lowes put out xmas stuff the week after putting out very little for Halloween. The Halloween display gets smaller and smaller each year.

I believe its this holiday that takes all your money because you decorate to this "spirit being" called Santa Clause and in his name you handing out goodies to children. Wait! That sounds a bit like Halloween! ACK! I think I need to go lay in my coffin for awhile.eggzackly...what is this 'christmas' of which you speak???

The other night I was at wally world, late at night picking up some items. I decided to stroll around the Halloween section to see what they had going. As I exited one of the aisles, my vision became in sight of the garden section. It was full of Christmas Trees, blow ups, lights etc. In my moment of madness (thinking I was alone) I screamed in frustration "You dirty sons of &$^*@#!!!!!!!!! Right then, a lady came around the corner, stunned, not knowing who my rage was aimed at. I apologized and walked briskly off. It is pretty bad when I go to Michaels, and I can hardly buy any Halloween stuff on the FIRST FREAKIN DAY OF OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
