Three nights now it's been absolute weather perfection. By halloween, it'll be a nail biter. It always is. It never fails. What does the weather have against ONE day of the year?
Come on- weather perfection on halloween for us all!!

Maybe I was the only one getting rained on today then, but I hope this isn't what I have to look forward to at Halloween

Dan, we were just commenting on this last night while out for a walk. Beautiful dark sky with moon lighting the wispy clouds. Light breeze and perfect temps! It would be perfect. I try not to sweat the weather this early but I always start thinking about "plan B" if it's crappy outside. Let's all keep our fngers crossed!

I know what you mean. Here in southeastern Virginia, Fall and Spring weather can be bi-polar. I can remember Halloweens where we had frost on the ground (mostly when I was very little), and I can also remember muggy, sticky Halloweens where everyone was sweating to death in their costumes.
The past week has been gorgeous here - between 65* and 75*, low humidity, and partial overcast. I'm hoping it will continue! You say "Crazy Cat Lady" like it's a BAD thing...

It is finally clearing out down here after some severe weather. Lots of rain, high winds, what a mess. We are hopeful the skies will stay clear and I can start to get the rest of my props out. Come on cool temps and I hope everyone else is putting the last touches on their haunt. Pics. to come !

We dodged a major bullet down here! We were going to put everything up Saturday, but we had a nor'easter come through all weekend and no one seemed thrilled to be putting up props in a pouring rain. Then early Monday morning we caught a glancing blow from a tornado that touched down nearby. The only damage we got was a couple of downed branches, but guessing by all the noice the garage door was making as the winds hit it, our props would have taken a hit.
Next weekend is sunny, dry, and highs in the 70s, so we're glad we waited."Spit's all that's holding me together right now too!" James Whitmore, Them!

I grew up in Colorado, where Halloweens were generally perfect - cool, crisp, and dry. Although, you did have to have a "plan B" and make sure your long underwear could fit under your costume. Now I live in San Diego and after 10 years I'm still not used to how warm it is in October. I miss the true "fall" feeling a little bit, but I can't complain about the lack of a blizzard threat to ruin all the hard work and preparation for Halloween night (although I'd rather walk around in dry Colorado snow than damp coastal rain). I'll keep my fingers crossed that everyone has good weather!

Living in California its been pretty good weather for some time now. One time it rained just as I was ready to finish up we had to hurry and bring in everything but besides that we get an occasional winter cold but that's about it.
Ill keep good thoughts for those who have to weather the hard stuff
