I grew up in Boston where Halloween was always pretty cold. Problem was you either had to wear a heavy coat over your costume or by an xtra big costume and layer your clothes under it. I now reside just northwest of Atlanta GA. I LOVE our Halloween weather. No need for coats. And I have lived here for almost 18 years now. It has only ever rained 2 times on Halloween. It's usually cool but warm enough. We don't make the kids come to the door. We hand out candy at the top of our driveway and socialize with the neighbors on our cul-de-sac.

I spent the weekend painting props -- paper mache, so there are a lot of coats. Because the painting is done on the carport, I got more done in one weekend that I did during the entire month of September.

I don't mind cold. I don't mind overcast. I actually like cooler, dreary autumns (minus the rain) because it helps with the mood.
But I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate (x100) rain & snow.
I'm in Utah and it's been spotty the past week - rain, sunshine, rain, sunshine, rain, sunshine - and it's made it really difficult setting up my decorations.
Right now, it's supposed to improve, so hopefully it remains that way, but I doubt it. We're always set for a pretty awful spat of weather prior to Halloween. Some years, it even snows (ugh).
And don't get me started on wind. I might hate wind more than a bit of rain because it's hell on the decorations.
