I bought a webcaster gun last year and I tried it for the first time today with mixed results. The gun requires a high capacity air compressor. My little Dewalt couldn’t handle the load. I had to borrow another one.

I must say, the webcaster gun works really well. It does require some practice and lots and lots of glue sticks……

Bought mine last year as well....Bigger compressor would have been nice too. Found setting up a base string web allowed the glue webbing to fill the voids and give a better look. Used some of the neon sticks and glow in the dark ones. Unfortunately, I didn't get the night time pic's of the webbing. Urrg!

Ah base line....I gotta try that. I didn't get any neon sticks. Some of my sticks had a bluish tinge to them. To cross over from one thing to another I just sprayed the heck out of it. A base line would have been an easier approach but then again, everything I do is the "hard way"it seems.

I just got mine this year. Oct 1st actually. I have a little 3 gal 1/8 HP compressor and it works ok but runs out of air pretty quick. I plan on getting an air brush sometime so I need to upgrade anyways. It still looks great though!

Some tips dont use it while its, windy, wet surfaces, or to cold out, Spray from 10 ft away you will get better webs. I love my gun

I got a gun with glue in a batch of stuff recently and Ive never used one before. So it takes a compressor? Whats the cheapest alternative to get the gun to run?

I got mine yesterday and I went to go use it today and guess what??????????????????

I need to go and get a male and a female connections for the compressor hose. So it looks like the fun will have to wait till tomorrow.

No alternatives really. Needs a constant flow of air. Even large 10 gallon 150 psi air tanks won't last long.

Large air compressor is a must. I would also buy the glue sticks in bulk from Menards, Walmart etc. They come in 100 packs or smaller. I get the 100 packs. A glue stick is a glue stick unless you want the neon ones, Walmart bulk packs are just fine and way, way cheaper.
