Skullboy I also have a QSee brand DVR system and it works great.
They come with 4 cameras that are very easy to install and mount to your home. The whole unit is plug and record set up. The only issue one may have is making an appropriate hole to run the cables from inside your home to the outside. Each camera has night vision of 100ft and I can tell you the night vision is very clear indeed. Features include email alerts when motion is detected, motion detected recording only option or all time recording option, constant recording, USB port to transfer data from the unit to be used for archiving video, Option to add audio mics to some cameras or all, online set up to view your cameras from any internet connection and an Iphone app which I am not that familiar with as of yet. Also there is an option to add 4 additional cameras.
Costco sells this particular model online and it had great reviews. Price is somewhere around 260.00 plus tax I believe. I hope this info helps.

Yes very curious! How much did the whole system cost? What were the difficulties? Did you DIY for any part?
I'm getting a laptop next year with bluetooth 3.0 and wireless n, and I hope to use that as a wireless camera system so I can worry less about the items I put out since I live in North Las Vegas. I've always wanted to do it but didn't have the money.
