to go with our haunted carnival/freak show, we wanted to hand out "fluffy stuff" cotton candy, but we can't find it at a reasonable bulk price with decent shipping. Yesterday while in my local grocery store, they had the boxes of pink "elephant" popcorn...do you think kids would enjoy something like this? or should we give up trying to fit our treats into our theme? the popcorn was being sold at 4 for 7$, and hubs was gonna go ask today if we bought in bulk, would they give us a bit of a deal...should we bother? what would you have thought if you got something like that for halloween? share your thoughts please![]()
ps-the popcorn now comes SEALED in a plastic baggie inside the box, and comes with stickers for the "prize"
thanks everyone![]()

worth a shot to ask... worst they can do is say 'no discount' or 'no we wont order it' (and i doubt they would refuse to order it lol)

What about Cracker Jacks?

no where in town sells cracker jacks in the amount I would need. (I live in a northern town where shopping is rather limited, so when I saw the pink carnival popcorn, I thought it might work...maybe not.>>

see, I'm the same way...I like chocolate and chips, but nothing else really haha, that's why I was hesitant to hand out the pink popcorn...hubby's thoughts are: "they are big boxes! Kids love it when they get "full sized" treats on halloween!" Here's hoping he's right! hahaha

One year I decided no candy and bought some Halloween dog tags for the older teens and rubber duckies for the little kids/babies. I ended up running out ouf the rubber duckies cause EVERYONE wanted them no matter what the age was. I just thought it was so funny that guys dressed up age 16 18 were asking for the rubber duckies (they had around 5 styles a mummy witch frankenstein ghost and vampire) so go for it. I think most appreciate anything and something different even more so.
G'Luck on what ever you decideWhere's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering KABOOM!!

thanks snigglez! we were going to give some mini rubber duckies away as prizes for our "prize wheel" (give the kids a chance to spin the wheel, and have little "gag" gifts (the cheap halloween stuff) for the majority of prizes, and a rubber duckie as a "good" prize
just something fun for the tots to do at the door (we don't get too many at once, so it's something fun for us between tots
