Has anyone bought this or know much about it. I am seriously considering getting it.

My plan would be to plug in 6 different pumpkins, spread them out on some haybales, and then have them do the light show to "This is Halloween" and a few other Halloween songs. The only thing negative that I could find about it was that some people had problems blowing fuses on it and then they could not find replacements. Its also pretty pricey.

Seems like a really easy unit to run and I am NOT very tech-smart.

    Opinions?

I have never bought this product but always thought it looked neat. It's by a company called Gemmy, and it's been sold for a few years now. Hope that helps a little.

I've got the Christmas version of the Gemmy box just like that one.
I like it a lot and it works really well with the canned songs included in the box.
I haven't used my MP3 player to make the lights flash to music yet, but I did find that I need to use a MP3 amplifier between the MP3 and the box to make it loud enough to flash the lights.
I got it off E-bay from China for a few bucks.
I've never blown a fuse on mine.

I use it for my lightning display. . They are cheaper at Home Depot.com. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...atalogId=10053 I have the Christmas one too with the built in xmas songs, but I only use it for Halloween. Got it onsale (online) after xmas for $50. I use the headphone outlet from my laptop and plug it into the Gemmy unit.

I've used the christmas version for the past two Halloweens. Hooked by ipod into it and then plugged in several spotlights. It worked very well. Didn't need any additional speakers or any type of sound boost. It's simply plug and play.!!!
