Grrrrrrr!!! I'm so angry!! So I went out this late morning to get the paper from my driveway only to discover more than half of my decorations/blowmolds

missing. GONE!!!! I was told about 20 minutes later that they had the teenagers who did it. They had gone from house to house taking items to sell, so they

could afford this years school events since they were seniors. To a point I felt sorry, but at the same time there are other honest ways of funding these events.

They offered me the money they made ($163) for my items that were taken, I declined it. I told them I wouldn't press charges but Karma alone would get to

them. (I'm sure someone else did) Man!! What a way to start out my favorite time of the year.

That totally sucks. I'm sorry that it happened To a point, I feel a little sorry for them too, but c'mon now...they're seniors which means they're old enough to get a job. MANY teenagers have jobs and go to school. They shouldn't have resorted to stealing.

Thanks Miss Mandy. I have ziptied and chained whats left on my porch. It sucks because some of the pumpkins/blowmolds that were taken were from my childhood years.

i would have told them to go give the people back their money, tell them they stole them, and get them all back for you!

i worked in high school to pay for the stuff i wanted to do - as will my kids!

File charges, find out who they sold the stuff to and get it back. IF the people that bought said items are able to be identified, then they must return the items as they were guilty otherwise of receiving stolen property... and they should return it anyway.

I don't think you should feel the least bit sorry about them not having money to do extracurricular activities... if they are over the age of 5, then they know what they did was WRONG and there should be consequences for their actions. Teens today are getting entirely too many passes on acting like responsible human beings, so don't just suck it up and let your stuff be stolen when you know who did it and can take action.

At the very least, let them know that you'll drop all charges if your items are returned, and that gives them a chance to do the right thing. Letting them off the hook just screws you over and teaches the kids that it's okay to steal since they won't get in trouble for it... and grow up to be total entitled jerks.

You are too nice CC1979! I would definitely want justice! If you mess with my props or haunt goods, be ready for the backlash! Do the crime, you must do the time! Sorry to hear this bad start to our beloved holiday.. Karma will have it's day!

That sucks but I am with you I would not have filed charges. I would have however made them either work for me setting up my haunt or raking leaves or I would tell them to retrieve my items from the buyers.

Unfortunatly when you press charges it just runs the system up when they are juveniles. You end up having to testify and in the end the will get a defirred sentence meaning if they keep their nose clean in 6 months they have no record. They would pay you back for the items but in 15.00 a month payments typically.

So sorry that happened to you thats horrible.
