... that I froze last year, but did not give out.

Somebody here said that they would keep... and WORK. Hmmm... I guess weeeeee'll see. I have 300 in the bottom of the freezer.

I've never given out Glow stuff before and still feel somehow that it is "not enough." Has anybody else frozen Glow novelties successfully and/or given out ONLY the Glow item with no accompanying toy or candy? Do kids really like them?

Freezing slows it down. Not stops it completely. It'll glow again the next night or maybe a week later when you thaw it. Don't think it'll work now.

Or did you mean it wasn't snapped? If it wasn't snapped the chemical inside it will eventually break down and it won't glow even when you snap it but that takes more than a year. But if it was old already when you bought it (dollar store glowsticks) then it might not work now. Light kills the chemicals in glowsticks so if it wasn't in a black bag then it's definitely dead by now.

They are unsnapped, in a dark bag, and frozen. Will let a few sit out for 24 hours- and then snap.

    Oh. the suspense!

Glow sticks are a pretty good idea. Candy is unhealthy and i for one could use as little as possible. Not only are glow sticks fun but it makes trick or treaters stick out to traffic at night. Only thing is id be catious when putting them in the same bag as my candy incase theres a leak.
