Ordered the "Blood Bank" piece from the Spookytown Collection. It makes a loud humming noise when it's turned on. The little pieces move and the volume does work if you turn it all the way up but you can still hear the humming. I have several pieces and I usually turn them all on every night during the season with the volume down but I can't stand this noise! None of my other houses have done this! Anyone had this happen or know how to fix it??

I had the Blood Bank but finally sold it, along with a few other pieces, last year. The noise was always bad and the spiel was very hard to understand. Dr Stretch and Pull was also very annoying. My biggest complaint with Spooky Town in general is the noise. Love the look, hate the sound.

I replaced my broken Lemax pirate ship this year, and the new one makes the humming noise you described. I recently bought the shooting range, but I can keep that one on with the sound turned down and no humming.

Yea those things get pretty annoying after a while. I'm pretty sure all of mine make gear noises at least somewhat. The first one I ever had, Graves Manor (still my favorite BTW) made so much racket I gutted it so I could put a simple light in it.

ˆGreaves Manor is one of our favourites too - I miss the simpler days. I think I've just become immune to the sound because it hadn't really bothered me until I read some complaints here. We don't keep our town turned on all the time though.

The display at Michaels is ungodly loud, I feel so bad for the store employees having to listen to that all day. I don't ever remember it being that loud in years past. And now they have the Christmas one up at the same time! Well it's still not as bad as the Walmart Channel. @.@

Thanks for the replies...Guess I'm just out of luck. They all make gear noises but this is unbearable. I'll just have to take that one out of my display. It really sucks because I buy one new house each year and that's the one I bought this year and now I can't even use it! :/
