Well here I was all ready to move into the 21st century and switch to LED spotlights for my graveyard. I tried looking at it as an investment so I was pretty ok with the initial cost. Then today I walked down the lightbulb aisle at WM and saw colored floodlights, regularly $6-$7 each, for $1!!!So, needless to say, I cleared the shelf of blue floods and my graveyard will be low-tech for at least one more season! Just had to share...

At that price I would be low tech myself!

I'm hitting Wally-world this weekend.
I think I may need to hit up the lighting department. I have mini LEDs, but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to put two floodlights in the far corners of the yard. And is it hard to set them up?

The Walmart here had their blue floods clearanced/ marked down this summer and I grabbed a couple of them.
When I visited a different Walmart a couple of weeks ago, I went straight to the light section hoping to score more. But, those were all regular price. dang.
Great score, tho, Madame.
I'm like you... putting off getting those LEDs. I found 3 outdoor black light LEDs with bulb holder/stake at Garden Ridge a couple of months ago. $15 each. Got 'em, but I almost fainted at the register. lol

Not hard to set up, but there's a really good tutorial that was posted here that had a great PDF attachment on lighting. I found it very useful, but am battling with what will be a very irritating streetlight. My biggest challenge for lighting is just wiring my floodlight bases to a plug and doing that, not so much the positioning itself.
I'm also using the LED mini-spots from Niftymart. I'll mix up the colors of those for accent lighting.
