I thought it would be good to have a thread for those interesting, "original" places people shop for Halloween related merchandise that isn't just the big box store down the road. There are tons of great websites, but often you'll stumble across some interesting place that isn't advertised. Here are some things I've come across.

For the ladies (or the adventurous male? Who knows):

I love corsets. Oh my god. Corsets corsets corsets. If you love them like I do, you know most of the time they are ridiculously priced. 100 dollars was the cheapest I used to find them- no more! There is a company in the UK called Corset-Story that makes professional grade and prop grade corsets for wayyyy cheaper. I've only purchased one so far but it is amazingly well constructed and their customer service is incredible. Also, they only charge 7 bucks for regular shipping to the US (it does take about 2-3 weeks though). If you 'like' them on facebook, there are 'corset of the day' deals wherein you can get some for as cheap as 20 dollars! I am hopelessly addicted to their facebook page now. Here's their page: http://www.corset-story.com/ And their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/corsetsUK

    For the home decorators:

I love creepy artwork, especially original work. Sure, there are some cool posters at the Spirit Halloween store, but I want something that a lot of people don't already have. I attend conventions, and there's an incredible artist I've met there named Tommy Castillo. Tommy is a natural talent and he uses his powers for evil! His prints are huge and he sells them for 20 bucks at conventions. I'm not sure what he charges on the internet. He just released on of my favorite things EVER- the coloring book of the dead. It's exactly what it sounds like: a real coloring book of zombies. He did a sketch of me as a zombie for the book (I'll attach it).

Here is his facebook, so you can check out his work: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php...5554&sk=photos

I have more to share, I just wanted to give others a chance first. Do you have a secret website or store that you find your treasures in? Let us know!

I too attend several comic-cons every year, and always look forward to seeing Tommy Castillo's work there.
