Got an email this morning from them announcing The House of Boo!

It's a pain in the butt to get to them for me, but I may have to check 'em out this weekend. At least I can kill 3 birds with one stone because they're in the same center as AC Moore & a Halloween Express. They generally have a lot of vintagey looking stuff which I dig.

I really like these guys, the remind me of candles we had when I was a kid back in the 70s.


I like this too & would probably leave it up all year!

I love them because they generally have some very different stuff along with the usual burlap scarecrows & things like that.

I do NOT look forward to going down the road to shop there but since there's a couple of other stores there it's not as bad, we hit them all to make it worth it. I'll hit up AC Moore & the Halloween Express & we'll both hit Filene's basement.

The road it's on is one of those roads that started as a 2 lane road, grew to 4 lanes, then finally a 6 lane road over the years & it could easily be a 10 lane road & still be backed up daily, but it's dotted with a light every block or 2 & it's a just a HUGE pain in the arse to get to. Everyone has one of those in the larger cities. Strip malls of every kind on every side, all sorts of stores, everything you could want is on that road but it's such a sucky drive due to the volume of traffic. If I could do it during a Wed. at noon, it wouldn't be so bad, but since I'm usually at work then it's Saturday for me!

We used to have one a LOT closer with all the other big box stores like Target/Walmart/Home Depot, but it closed so now when we want the sea salt we like or some different decor we gotta plan & make the trek.

Will not be anywhere near one until mid-October when I go to the big party... hopefully they'll still have stuff left! Still need to go in for my jelly babies and excellent green tea...

I feel your pain with that, but the coupons they send do help ease it!
Liked the wind-chimes they had there;

I loved their pumpkin bark from last year....tasty. They always have neat original stuff.

I'm blessed to be about 10 minutes away from one. The cookie jar is a great deal. My husband saw it was made me guess how much it would be. I was surprised.
