Sorry, I just had to yell it somewhere I got hired to work at Spirit Halloween I am so excited! I just walked in, asked if they were hiring, and boom! (ok, there was a short talk and I got asked about my retail experience, but it was quick!) haha He told me the "downside" is that it is retail pay for thirteen bucks an hour...my response "I'm a stay at home mom" hahaha, this is going to make my addiction SO MUCH WORSE!!!! sorry for the rant, I'm just super excited! He wanted me to start right then and there, but we are having a dinner party tonight

$13/ hour seems pretty good for seasonal retail (shoot, retail anytime lol) i would have thought the going rates was closer to 9-10 if you were lucky...

thank you! well, I live up north, so rates are higher. For this town, it actually is fairly low, but I'm ok working retail rates because the cheques will likely go right back into the store anyway :P cost of living is super high here, so typically wages are higher. (our duplex cost us 470k :S ...that gives you an idea of what cost of living is here in town

oh wow - townhouse (aka duplex) here can be as low as $75K here... though, there are more upscale ones, too, but i would bet the average one runs around $150-175K. I've seen some in the million dollar range, but obviously, they are not your run of the mill townhouses lololol

oh ours is no "upscale" one :P ours was built in the 70s :P the previous owners wanted a quick sale, so they priced "low" (for here) we were the first ones to look, and it was the only decent thing in our price range (most people work out at the oil sites here in town, so they make the big bucks :P I'm a stay at home mom, and hubby works for the government haha so we don't get the big oil dollars :P they say currently the average starter home price is around five fifty to six hundred thousand it's pathetic, but...you do what you have to do!
