Celebrating today!

I just had to write a note about how grateful I am today, since I FINALLY get to start thinking about Halloween! I've been working for weeks on a big promotional event for my company, Little Partridge. I was invited to attend a pre-Emmys celebrity gifting suite in Hollywood (I make children's clothes and accessories, and this event was for stars who are pregnant/have young kiddos). This was such an honor, but involved weeks of working 12 hour days to get everything made, two full event days that included standing in high heels all day, schmoozing hundreds of people (not my favorite activity, that's for sure), and dealing with an insane event planner. I am proud to say that everything went really well! I got the promotional pictures I wanted, and made great media contacts. All of the work and stress and tears were worth it. To celebrate, I am cleaning the house today (I TRASHED it in the process of getting ready), and my husband happily announced that he is getting the Halloween decorations down. I couldn't possibly think of a better reward! Not only that, but I plan to stay in my pajamas all day and plan our party. So thank you Halloween family for letting me brag a little and proclaim my happiness. I know that so many of you would appreciate the same type of celebration! Happy Halloween!

WOW HS! That's so amazing! What an awesome opportunity for you!! Congratulations on getting yourself invited to an event like that! And I'm very glad to hear that it all went so well too. Wooo!!! You should totally be celebrating, and quite honestly, I can't think of a better way in the world, than letting your hubby pull out all the Halloween decorations, while you sit around your pjs planning your party! LOL! Sounds like a heavenly day to me.

I will certainly share in your happiness with ya and offer up a big YAY!! for the fact that you can now finally start your Halloween preps after all your hard work on real life stuff.
