Yep it s all starting to go on the shelves, though sadly not a lot of choice as yet! Disappointed that Asda(Our Walmart) at least in Southampton, aren't getting their Halloween stock in for another two weeks at least...shocked. I start University next week and I just know that I'm going to miss the good stuff because I'll be too busy studying...so much for getting organised early to make my Halloween go a little easier. There are a few good bits in Matalan, but again not a lot, they have devil and dracula heads that talk to you and a nice looking skull mister, however its £20, Asdas equivalent is usually £5 cheaper. They also have a very cool talking skull in a cage, which is really creepy and quite loud. The Range have got some nice hanging props in, so I've bought a half skeleton with eyes that change colour and a free standing skull with the same, £16.99 and £4.99 respectively, also bought some glittery mini skulls for my daughters room and a cat with green glow eyes again £3.99 and £4.99 respectively. A lot of the stuff in M & S, Poundland and TK Maxx is a bit too twee for me, more Autumn(Fall/Harvest Fest than Halloween). Anyone this side of the pond found anything worthwhile here yet? Even the online Halloween suppliers are sold out of every decent bit of kit, and seem to have been even in the early Summer, GRRRRRR! I wanted a couple of scary cats with flashing LED eyes, my cat is a a bit too cute, more shimmer the horror but looks like I'm out of luck.

Hi to all of us in the UK

i have just done the rounds in the shops and would like to let you know of the following "highlights"

in sainsburys they have have an animated butler approx 4ft tall - £50. quite creepy, shakes a little and has various phrases.

there are also plenty of smaller animated dancing ghosts, but they are more cute than scary.

    Poundland (in wakefield)
has some scary cloth for (you guessed it) £1. + some disposable cups with bloody hand prints etc
there are some other bits of stuff, but nothing of any note

    Ditto poundsaver

ASDA hasn't got anything in yet (except for child clothing)

    B&M Bargains
have a skeleton groundbreaker (head, arms and legs only) for £4.99 but surprisingly not much else

I am not sure if it is too early or the quality / quantity of items is down, but there was not much else for me.

i did buy a pair of skeleton gloves and a mask from the poundshops, but they are more for side projects than anything major.

the best thing i saw was the butler (but was expensive for what it is) and the creepy cloth, which is good for the price.

we also went to the fabric warehouse for some muslin (for my FCG) and they did have some really good fabric with ghosts / pumpkins etc on it, as well as spider webs etc. definately worth a visit if you need that sort of thing.

I know I cant believe it!! there's hardly any shops with anything in at the minute.. we had some bits and bobs from ASDA last year but so far this year most of the shops are empty of halloween bits. we have bought some creepy cloth from the poundshop though. well worth the money.. I bought some of that plant fleece from the poundshop for my FCG this year.. it looks ideal...large and lightweight...
