Thread: What Halloween Activities Did You Do Today?

I'm surprised there's no thread like this. With 45 (44 now?) days to the big day, it would be cool to share what Halloween-related stuff you did each day. It could be working on your props, making some scary goodies, watching a scary movie, store-hopping for Halloween stuff, or enjoying the changing weather.

It's a Friday, so naturally I stopped a couple places on the way home to look at Halloween stuff. Picked up the X-Ray Reaper from Wal-Mart. Then I came home and started working on jars for the witch room in my haunt. I put some fingers, skulls, eyeballs, bugs, etc. in my jars and bottles to see what I which containers I wanted to use for what and to know whether I needed to hit up the Salvation Army or Goodwill for more bottles.

Also, the weather turned on a dime here yesterday and the past two nights have been super cool and crisp.

Well I will start so far today I have worked on my 100ft of graveyard fence, it raining so I'm taking a break now before I jump back into it.

I woke up from a dead sleep, does that count?
I do plan on working on my boarded up windows today and I was going to start on a coffin idea I have as well...

Well so far, all I've done today is drink coffee, but it is in a Halloween mug!
Yesterday, I was scared out of my wits when a snake slithered through my back door and into my kitchen - can I count that?
I spent the rest of the day in a nearby town doing some store-hopping. I checked out all the Halloween goods at Target, Spirit, Kohls, Big Lots, Wal Mart, and Halloween Bootique and then finished up with a Starbucks Pumpkin Latte. Aside from the snake, it was a good day!

I'm baking in a candy corn ruffly apron! other than that not much (aka nothing) because I'm in the middle of making a "male appendage" cake for my cousin's staggette party tonight haha, nothing says "glad you're getting hitched" like a giant.....snake with leather, studs, whips and handcuffs! hmmm...I guess it's kind of "dungeon/halloween"? hahahaha

Checked out the Halloween stuff at Big Lots after breakfast, now going to continue work on our wall crypt. Maybe even start work on entrance columns for our cemetery.

Went to the Morton Pumpkin Fest, ate pumpkin chili, and then came home & put out some Lemax village pieces & started spray painting the vase we're making to display some black roses.

went to 2 thrift stores- bought a cool universal studios animated dracula for $10!!! bought a prom dress to be bloodied up (kiddos costume, lol) bought.... lots o stuff at the dollar tree... went to big lots and was REALLY disappointed....shipped out my SR present....

Drank some pumpkin beer last night, and checked out all the Halloween stores around town today!

I contined working on my stick fence..got most of the front finished..now on to the sides...and I was bitching cause my yard wasn't big enough..lol...Thank darkness for little favors..
