I went store hopping very excitedly and was very disappointed.
Halloween City in Boise was embarrassing. Literally a store in a box that someone had no idea how to set stuff up and maybe they didn't have
much of their stuff out and that was why it looked so bad but yeah, just awful. The guy standing back by the dressing rooms tried to make small talk with me when I walked by but it was like a carny worker would do when you walk by their booths. Will not be back. There's one in Nampa
which is about 15 minutes away and it rocked last year, I'll try it another time.
Spirit was much better but there are really neat and cool stuff on their website and not in the store.
Target had one isle of stuff, I've seen pictures of other Targets but our sucked, maybe I'll try a different one another day. What gives?

Maybe it's still a bit early. Our Halloween City isn't even open yet here. Give 'em some time - probably closer to October there'll be more places with more good stuff!

Have you tried other places. Personally I'm pretty impressed with Target and Dollar Tree. Walgreens is always a fave of mine.

The halloween city closest to me as very little as far as props go. I asked about some of the props I really want and the girl said she didnt think she seen them in there inventory catalog so that that sucks!

Walgreens, Homegoods, and Target look great this year. To a lesser degree, TJ Maxx, but they carry so much less than Homegoods even though there's a lot of duplication of items.

Walmart was starting to set up and I have to say I was liking their stuff a lot more than Spirit's, though I haven't been by Halloween City yet. Agree with everybody here, the non Halloween stores have been pretty good.

I live in Nampa and went to the Halloween City here last Thursday. I'll be honest, I'm not the best judge of these type of stores since I loath "Made in China" labels, and I also despise most horribly put together store bought props, as well as gore.
That said, we did find a couple things. We've been wanting a LARGE blow mold witches cauldron that we could modify to fit our needs and they had a stack of them. We also found a pretty cool black net table cloth cover, some black light bulbs for cheap, and a few other small things that were so unimportant that I'm having trouble recalling them.

I found a halloweenexpress a couple of hours of where I live.OMG it was horrible.First thing you see on the door is no refunds. There were lots of costumes and that was it.They had a few older life size which looked terrible.Glad I never bought them I would have been disappointed.

I'm very impressed with Dollar Tree this year but I agree, i'm so disappointing with all the stores this year. Even Party City sucked--Walmarts props are just to cheesy for words and spirit is way out my budget but they do always do a great set up!
