What are you giving out to your ToTs this year?
Full sized candy bars, goodie bags stuffed with cool things?
And where are you getting your treats? (after all some of you are lucky enough to get 100-300 ToTs)
edit....bah sorry for the spelling mistake, it was a long day at work.

I went totally overboard on the candy budget this year. I bought 150 organic fair trade chocolates for the loot bags. The
company that makes them (Denman Island Chocolates) was great - they even specially wrapped the mint chocolate
owls in black foil, as our theme this year is zombies.
We've got "cute" zombie finger puppets for the little ones, some "grosser" zombie finger puppets for the
older kids and some zombie pins for the teens who tell me they are too old for t-o-ting, and just come for to see the
display. (They'll get candy as well, just not in the loot bags - we welcome everybody, every age - costumed or not)

Oh, I need this thread! What we usually give away is no longer available. So we're looking for something new and unique (and reasonably affordable.)

Officially following this thread
We just started decorating last year and gave out hand-fulls of miniature candy bars but I'd love to do something great for the 5 or 6 tots that actually come by LOL. I'm thinking of making goodie bags with something fun like glow bracelets etc in them

I like to make up small treat bags, both for portion control and because it always seemed to me like I was getting more if it came in a little bag. We got 500+ trick or treaters last year and almost as many the years prior, so full size candy bars are out of the question. I'll probably give a small chocolate bar, a couple of other candies like Now & Laters or Tootsie Pops, and a small toy item like a spider ring or whatnot. I need to be stocking up now so the budget doesn't take a big hit all at once.

I think some folks gave out Halloween Silly Bandz one year. Did they go over at all? Are they still a "thing"?

I saw what looked like a mother and (adult) daughter in Michaels today, having bought ALL of the Halloween themed novelty candy on the rack in front of the registers. At full price.

We usually make gift bags with various small (but not unFun Sized) candies and party favors. My sister thinks I'm mean for handing out pencils and erasers in the treat bags sometimes. I used to like getting those! Plus we give them out with the candy and glowsticks and whatever else I throw in there, not just on their own.

I gave out those glow in the dark silly bandz. They were a huge hit in my neighborhood. I mean squealing and forgetting to take the candy too. But I think they were a fad and I have not really seen much of them this year.
I may do treat bags too. Or if not, it will be a couple of smaller chocolate bars. Althought for my son's daycare I'll do some special treat bags.

We give out big chocolate bars (we only get about 25-35 kids) and then I sometimes have extra random candy on the side and give out a handful off that too.
I get them at the dollarama because they're $.65 each and I know the turn over there is huge for candy! (At least in our local store.) So i'm not scared that they have been sitting around for a few years.)
