Anybody ever say "Halloween Apples" instead of "Trick or Treat" when you were little and going door to door? We were mostly "Trick or Treat" kids, but would whip out "Halloween Apples" when we were feeling a little "old skool".I've been googling this and it sounds like it MAY have just been a Canadian thing. Or it's possible I'm imagining the whole thing. Anyone care to save my sanity?

I know I've said it once lol. Was the thing to say according to the cool kids. I grew up in AB and he in BC and he's never heard of it.

I never said it myself, but I definitely remember hearing "older" people say it. I feel like I still hear some tot's parents say it every now and again. I also wonder if this is just Canadian thing!

I've never heard of that. Was always a traditional Trick or Treat gal myself.
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

I've lived in several different cities and towns around the U.S., and never heard of that... always used/heard "Trick or Treat!"

Being Canadian all my life, I must say I never heard of it!
Heard many times "F..K!" when someone was giving apples instead of candy, but not "Halloween Apples".

Never heard of it until today but I googled it and a few people know about it. Some of us here may not have heard of it but at least we've all learned something new today.

This is something new (or old) to me.
Grew up in the USA.
New Jersey during the 70's - early 80's.
I thought it was a treat, like caramel apples.
Mmmmm....caramel apples
