-The house will have festooning (the colorfull paper that's on a pinata)
    -We will make LolliePop tombstones.
-The main colors will be Green,Black,Orange and Purple.
-A 6ft. candybar/buffet will be in the driveway filled with potion bottles and cady.
-A sign that reads CANDYLAND (like the classic Hollywood sign) will be featured on the roof.
-Paper Lanterns will be put in clear plastic wrap to resemble candy. They will hang from the house and trees.
-I would like to make a welcome to and a thankyou for visiting sign placed at the entrance and exit of the two sidewalks.
-I would like to set up an instant photo both. I bought a new labtop and wireless printer so we could take and give a picture to the tots.

What else could I do? I'm running out of ideas.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

Why not expand your theme to Hansel and Gretel? Then you can make a witch room, etc.

Yes! Much better! Without some element of fright, it runs the risk of being almost christmas-y. Halloween should always be at least a little on the dark side.

Could also try incorporating some Willy Wonka-inspired elements into the display.

The sidewalk can be painted to match the board game. Maybe some ominous signs. If you make large cutouts of the game pieces you could have them in scary positions like one decapitated, etc...

You could have an electric chair for the parents who would rather kill themselves than ever play Candyland again..

Love that theme. I have thought about a Hansel and Gretel theme before. Stumps.com has some candy themed items, in case you have never heard of them. Please post pics of your results, love to see them.

If I remember correctly, there's a portion of the game that was spooky and dark. I don't know how your yard is set up, but maybe one side could be happy and bright then the other side dark and scary.
