I know some of you guys are bound to have some cool ideas for this.

My yard, even though I'm in the middle of a city, has a few large trees. How can I make the trees scary?

I'm going to try my hand at Blair Witch stick figures but does anyone have any other ideas?

You could get one of those creepy tree faces. Or hang a dead body from a branch.

My opinion, do one thing, and do it very well.

What I mean is, spend your time and resources on making one theme work for you. Pick a style, genre, theme (what ever you choose to name it) and study the hell out of it. Find out what makes it good, and focus on those points. Exaggerate those points even, because it's Halloween, and, attention spans are short and you have to get your point across quickly. Don't mix different ideas together. It breeds clutter and confusion. If you like vampires, make the best damned vampire tree there is in this whole wide world, just don't put a pink clown with sharp teeth in between them because it won't make sense.

Go with the Blair Witch theme if you like it, cuz I like it, and it's friggin' AWESOME. Just do it well.

One of the best trees in all of Halloween. I seriously came soooo close to copying that this year. Even made up a bunch of paper mache pumpkins. If my plum tree were just a little more mature I would have gone for it, but the wife convinced me that I need to wait.

    Absolutely beautiful.

I drilled two holes in the back of each pumpkin near the top and then ran a long (12") zip tie through them. The zip ties then went around a tree limb. These are the cheap plastic pumpkins that you can buy at any of the big box stores, but I think they look pretty good in the tree. I spray painted them lightly with black paint to make them look a little more ominous.

Unfortunately the plastic pumpkins don't exist in the UK

Since I get to vote twice, I'll say again, go with the Blair Witch theme.

I agree with Mandy. If you would like a body, just let me know, since there is someone that I'm about ready to snap the neck of...

Your 'pumpkin tree' looks marvelous, brees86
