Yikes! Lemme give you a run down:

    2 small untouched funkins
    3 paper mache pumpkins
1 small bag off flies and spiders
    1 Halloween wreath
    1 cauldron for TOT candy.
    Assorted bits of unstretched spiderwebs.

Holy Moly. I thought I had much more than that! I must have lost ALOT of it the last time we moved. So bummed.

Oh well, eh? I've dyed 100 yards of cheesecloth, finishing up some bones, made a candelabra, bought a large lightup funkin type pumpkin at a yardsale and a resin skull. Need to get working on boards for the windows, spider sacs, some silhouettes for the garage door. Actually, I'm gonna stop there. LOL. Maybe I should go get some rest so I can kick it into double time tomorrow?

Anyone else as behind as I am? Tell me about it.

If you're behind, then I'm not even out of the gate yet! Haven't pulled anything out yet, and won't do so until the last week of Sept. Now that Labor Day is almost done, I get the urge to start at least sorting through some things. I have two projects started but unfinished, and three more not even started yet. For some reason this year I'm slacking. Last year at this time I had knocked out quite a few things but as of yet, the motivation hasn't grabbed me. Too much else going on, but I know I'll kick into gear pretty soon.

There were some cheap ways to make the boards for the windows in the new Martha Stewart Magazine for Halloween. They are made of heavy duty cardboard. I'm going to try to make them & see how they look.

Jdub, the sad part is I thought I was in gear! LOL I was all proud of myself for the progress I was making, I just didn't know how utterly lacking in everything I was.

Thanks for the heads up Matrix, I'll have to check that out!

Matrix, I saw those window boards too! For the cost and effort- they look GREAT! Cheap easy and quick and they look damn good! Let's roll with those, and compare notes after Halloween!

I looked for the article and picture Matrix is talking about. I cannot find it online. It was in the new Martha Stewart Halloween issue. It is just plain corrugated cardboard cut jagged to resemble a wooden plank. You put removable plastic hooks with sticky backs on your window frame, and then hot glue a homemade metal circles of craft wire on each end of the board. You slip it over the plastic hooks, and voila- boarded up windows!

I get so excited about Halloween I start in August! We put on a huge office party every year so I'm always looking for something new. Trouble is I'm running out of storage space and all those large plastic storage boxes marked "Halloween" are crowding us out. Judging by the number of stores that are putting out their Halloween stock I must not be the only one starting early. To add to the excitement a new Spirit Halloween store has just started setting up in our area of the city. Can't wait till the doors open. Having a blast here seeing how creative everyone is!
