Should I wait till summer ends?
    When will you start?
If Spirit Halloween open today, can we start today?
Is there any rule,or common sense date?

    Summer has ended
I'll be starting (outside) around mid-October
My rule of thumb is when the Spirit stores open, that's when I start planning/buying/building properly

Common sense says that if you have your outside decorations up for two months, they're going to take quite a beating. Plus, if you decorate too early, you run the risk of getting tired of it before the big day - I know, I know, hard to believe but it does happen!
Slow down and wait another month; it'll be here before you know it!

Not being a big fan of rushing holidays, I start Halloween on October 1st. A lot of my decorations aren't all that weather-proof anyway. Yes, the cheesecloth ghosts are supposed to look ratty, but not that ratty. However, there's nothing that says you can't start pulling things out, and making sure they are in good shape. Or building new stuff. Or shopping for new stuff. That can use up most of September right there.

I start putting my stuff up two weeks before October. It takes me a bit to get everything out, the extensions cords sns everything else right. I try to be done by October 1st but that has yet to happen.
