I was wondering what others thought of this, who wishes we were back on the old time change schedule? You know when time fell back an hour on the last Sunday in October instead of the first Sunday in November. Our TOT starts at 6:00 and it seems to be pretty light out for that first hour of TOTing. It seems to cut down on the number of people out, although we don't have as many kids in our neighborhood as we used to. Some people say they like it because they think it is safer and I do believe in having a safe Halloween for our kids. Our city always has extra police out patrolling to keep the kids safe as possible on Halloween for the whole TOT time slot. I just like having it dark at the beginning since it adds so much to my display and the whole atmosphere of the evening.

I agree. We don't usually get the walk-through haunt going full swing until it gets dark, so we lose some time without the time change being in October :-(

That's a wonderful thing about living in Arizona. We don't have a time change

I was really upset when they moved the time change. Our ToT is from 5-7pm anyways, and moving the time change sealed its fate- now it's light out the entire time. I had to improvise and start enclosing my entire porch in thick black plastic so there was at least one dark area for the kids to get scared in!

I feel bad for the kids now... ToT was awesome in the dark.
    Send more paramedics!!

We don't have a designated trick-or-treat time where I live, but I was big time upset when they changed the daylight savings time date. Arizona has the right idea.

Why don't we just move the clock a half hour back and leave the darn thing alone for the rest of eternity???

Honestly, I wish that they would just pick one time and stick with it...
