After Halloween last year, I bought the Goblin Dude latex prop (made by the now-defunct Morbid Industries) for $50 at a local shop. Too good of a deal to pass up.

That's fine, provided those things are still available. The tombstone lifter always sells out- always. People love that prop. Only busted ones are usually available in the end, for a price break. I've gotten too many good things at half price to list. Last year my big score was resurrection mary. But I usually grab tombstones, fog juice, foggers, scene setters, creepy cloth, and any good animated props that may still be around. But mostly I grab half price on all the disposable stuff that needs restocking, and that stuff is usually still available. Good luck in your price break quest!

Last year I got 2 gallons of fog juice, 1 gallon of blood.
A latex zombie cat. I also got a ton of bloody hand print window clings for .25 cents each
I will TRY to save some more money this year so I can buy some of the bigger things
    I want.

I mostly went around last year and bought Ravens and foam skulls super cheap. I don't think I have paid more than 75 cents for a foam skull in years. I am right now making pumpkin rot style zombies using those skulls.

I got some skeleton castle wall facade pieces from Party City for at least 50% off. Party City on the day of Halloween is the best place and time to get high-quality strobes for half off!

Last year I didn't do much clearance shopping (spent to much before hand) but did buy some Lemax from Micheal's that was 60% off and a flickering candelabra that was 50% off. In 2009 though I bought lot's on clearance like two window faces for 60 cents each, orange candy corn light for 40 cents, black lights for 50 cents, candles for 10 cents and a few metal signs from Micheal's that were 70% off.
