Since this year my halloween is going to be shared with a friend, all my decorations and props will be inside and outside her home. She brought up a question to what would be a good scene outside her garage door. It is a single garage door in white. Any ideas or examples you have done? Also if there is any Scene setters there are out there, include a link. Either or, any suggestions are welcome!

the front yard has two large birch trees on her front lawn so there will be a hanging screaming guy, my 10ft reaper, grave yard, flying witches around a cauldron, she has a long open porch in front of the house ( long style bungalow ) I will have a witch sitting on bench with other decorations. foggers and spot lighting of green colour

If the garage door is sectioned off panels like the ones in blackfog's pics, then this is a great solution that I always meant to do myself:

I did a barsoleum to block off my open passthrough for my party, but the concept is the same, measure the panels on the garage door, cut out foamcore into squares that would fit over, then carve up some funny punny names like Disney's Haunted Mansion. I do a graveyard in the front yard, so that would look right at home and "hide" the garage door better.

I wouldn't do the supporting board, and I'm not sure of a "safe" way to attach them. My garage door is painted with outdoor latex (stupid painters) and it may pull the paint off if I use hot glue, but when I get around to it, I'll figure something out, even if it means using fishing line and hanging the things from the door...Last edited by Frankie's Girl; 08-27-2011 at 09:29 AM.

There are scene setters of graveyards with flying ghosts.. That would go with your reaper, etc.
It's my strange addiction..
