Thread: Things to accomplish before October 1st!

Whether you throw a party, host a haunt, or just decorate, there are things that need to be done NOW!

I am a horrible procrastinator and I just wanted to create this thread as inspiration to myself and others to stop procrastinating so that things will be easier this October!

What will you have (notice I didn't say 'what should you have') done before October 1st?


I will:

- Have the house and back patio spotless
- Have all the guest bedding washed and folded
- Have all my cds finally on my IPOD and all the new songs I want to complete my party playlist!
- Friday September 30th... start pulling out my decorations!

I'm sure I will have to add to this list but please post what you will have done!!

If you were truly a procrastinator, this list wouldn't be posted until October 2nd

1. Six wall panels will be painted
2. Three small tombstones will be complete
3. Inside of house decorated
4. Animated grave grabber prop will be done
5. Garage will be cleaned to make room for caged zombie scene
6. Two more static zombie props done

1) Finish my blood bath
2) Finish my PVC candle project
3) Finish the hallway project (sanding drywall, casing, baseboard, painting)
4) Sand & paint touch up areas in LR
5) Decorate inside

Hahaha! I'm a very organized procrastinator. I spend more time making lists and researching things than actually doing them... lol.

I will have...

1.garage cleaned (for party)
2.house cleaned
3.halloween ladder golf game made
4.fire barrel painted like jack o lantern
5.invitations made and sent out

and so far i think thats it lol

1. house cleaned (well before 10/1 - I hope!!!)
2. make hands for 3 life-sized props
3. find craft pumpkins to carve or paint for heads on 2 of said props.
4. paper mache grave periscope.
5. change the shirts on 2 other props.
6. acquire cords for blowmolds
7. oh and have a 14th birthday party for my daughter. Darn.

Right now I am building my haunted house stage rooms in my back yard. All on plywood and paint with decoration and I am the only one working right now since my husband recently had shoulder surgery. The bad weather and bugs in Florida isn't helping either.

OY!
I can't even make a list! There is so much I want done.
But the short list is:
Inside of house cleaned and decorated
Flying grim reaper finished the way I want it
Tombstones started are finished and all TS, old and new, are painted
New arch made for graveyard
My hearse is running!
