I went to Spirit yesterday. The props look sooo much better in person. The Frankenstein is very impressive and so is the Scream guy.

I have 6 Spirit Halloween stores within 10 miles of where I live.

I would LOVE to work there, as I love Halloween

The Spirit near Northgate in Seattle is open. I think it opened today; they were putting up the "Now Open" sign as we were leaving. They seem to have most of their merch out, but were still setting up the bigger displays. One of the employees (manager?) said something about not having run extension cords to the displays to show off the props yet, because they were waiting on some inspection. I don't have a sense of how their stock compares to other stores or previous years - fortunately, we have a permanent Display & Costume on the same large block that usually has good Halloween stuff, too.

I stopped at Spirit, who were still in the process of setting up, earlier in the week; none of the displays were working yet, but the store was open and well-stocked. The manager was pretty cool, joking around with me a bit (I got told that I look "mischievous"). Once the place is totally up (and I've got more cash), I'll definitely have to make another trip there. Much better experience than last year...

The Spirit closest to my house is not opening this year (even thought it is listed on their website).. The other Spirit stores are approx 15 miles away. I assume they are not opened yet as none of them answer the phone # listed.

For any fellow Zonies out there... the Spirit on Power & Baseline was not only one of the first to open, but seriously has some of the most awesome, helpful staff ever. Ghouliet & I have already gone there 5 times in less than a week.

I have 2 Spirit stores within10 miles of me. One of them was supposed to open this past Monday, but didn't even have stock out yet. I was soooo mad! The other one, though, was open and booming! I live in Virginia and the staff has always been great, very friendly and extremely helpful. This year, I would even say too talkative! I've never been disappointed. I already bought a skeleton, a jumping spider (which is absolutely awesome, btw) and the haunted spell book. I'm going back this weekend to get more.

My Spirit is opening on the 9th so we will see. 4SURE gonna get that hourglass!

Does anyone know if Spirit Halloween, has a clearance area again this year? If so were there any older life size?
