Has anyone ever gone out with the idea to do some 'quick' and 'specific' shopping only to arrive home later with bags and bags of Halloween stuff??
I had gone out to the local Loews to pick up a couple things for work (I'm a carpenter/contractor by trade) and, while shopping, came across this GIANT inflatable black cat which was being set up. I HAD TO HAVE IT!! Truth be told, I attended a wedding last night and had more than my fair share of rum and cokes so my state this morning may have influenced my decision, lol! Talking to the guy I came to find that it was not only on sale, but if I bought a second it was half price.
Long story short -- I had gone in there for some drill bits and a new pair of work boots and came out with these two inflatable cats and string after string of orange 'Halloween' lights. Beings that it was the start of the season they did have really good deals on their Halloween Merch so I saved money in the long run --- or at least that's what I told my girlfriend!!
This is the model of 'black cat' 6' long and lighted. I inflated one of them in the garage to check it out. Is it too early to decorate?

Yeah, been there....I was in the same predicament last year at Party City...Walked in and saw the inflatable Dracula popping his head up out of the casket...Once you see in your mind the perfect place for something it's pretty much over but the buying.....Good deal.....ZR

That's why I need to stop going to the store. Went to Michael's for some glue today and spent nearly $60 on other stuff.
Boo!

I'm not an impulse buyer for checkout lane items or "wow that prop looks cool I better grab it before they run out", but if I find a good deal in the clearance section I have a bad habit of filling up a shopping basket (I intentionally try not to take shopping carts), especially if it's something that's still good enough to use as a gift (or that I can resell). But it better be a good deal... you really need to watch out for things that are only 5-10% off, or worse, something that's full price but has a red sticker on it and tossed in the clearance bin.
