I was thinking today, which is never a good idea, and now I'm curious.
Would any of you have any interest in reading and/or contributing to a Yard Haunter blog? It would be like a magazine with reviews, ideas, etc...for those of us with the Halloween affliction.
I'm just fleshing out the idea now, and looking for insight.
Anyone?

What kind of content are you looking for? It's hard to even think about when the subject is that broad.

The initial thought would just be a general, yard-haunter oriented "magazine". I see so much stuff geared toward pro haunts, or things that only start to get active as Halloween approaches.
Imagine a print magazine DEVOTED to home haunts. Gear, tutorials, reviews, directories of other haunts, etc...
Like I said, it's just in the very early stages of the concept at this point, and I'm looking for any insight the community might have.Recipe for haunting success-

Yep, something like that, but something that would be updated more frequently than two years ago. ;o)

I'd be interested in reading that. I am a fledgling haunter, so my experience with the matter is pretty limited, but it would great to have that kind of info that is updated on a regular basis.
A Census taker tried to test me once, so I ate his liver. With some Fava beans and a nice Chianti!

How would it be different than this forum?
It sounds like those How to Haunt your House books. Most of the stuff in those books is readily available at the forums already, they just have better quality pictures (better production)

Well that's exactly it. With a little more focus on "quality control", my thought is that the result would be a more comprehensive, more detailed collection of the best of the best options we all have as home haunters.
Imagine if EVERYTHING was all in one place. All the best tutorials, with the most detailed photos, attention to detail in the writing...how many times have you seen a great prop, only to find out that the tutorial is horribly written and impossible to follow? (It's happened to me a bunch of times!)
Without giving ALL the secrets away, that's my vision for the tutorial end of things. There could be as many interesting, new elements as we wanted as a creative team.Recipe for haunting success-

I have seen an ezine on other sites that is sent out bimonthly. Check out planet Christmas they have both a forum and an ezine. It could give you some ideas.
