I always make a habit of purchasing Halloween decorations and props while on vacation. This started years ago when I purchased some resin/ceramic miniature gargoyles in Hampton Beach, NH. Does anyone else do this? I'm sure there are some obsessed Halloween folks out there just like me.
This year I purchased a Jack-O-Lantern carved out of a gourd in Kittery, Maine. I also purchased 3 miniature skeletons in Bermuda. Luck me I had 2 vacations this year.
Anyone else feel free to share your Vacation Halloween souveniers.

Oh yes! I love to shop for Halloween wherever I go. Last year we were in an adorable little coastal town in Oregon called Bandon. We were in the tourist shopping area and went into a little gift shop. One of my nieces found a area full of Halloween stuff, all at 50% off. Boy I did some damage in that store. Then we went to another shop a couple of doors down and they also had a section full of Halloween. Their stuff wasn't on sale, but I bought anyway!
The neat thing is that this was in July, not October. So now I think of Bandon as a Halloween town.

I am heading north the first week of September and they have K=Marts up there. It is not really vacation, but a convention, but YES I PLAN TO SHOP.
They also have the Gordman's store that I read about here. I am so excited. The only problem is I am taking hubby along and he will have the vehicle most of the time playing golf. We might have to leave his clubs in Iowa or Nebraska. LOL

Yup. But I also tend to vacation in places that lend themselves to Halloween-ish type knick knacks... Salem, Mass, New Orleans...
But even if it's someplace non-unusual, if I find something, I'll get it. We have a habit of going places that have antique/junk shops, so I am ALWAYS looking.

I'd be focused on finding stores we don't have in my area, like Garden Ridge, or mom'n'pop stores that might have unique items.

I am always looking for Halloween items any where the road leads me. I especially like to look when I am away from home cause of the different stores that are not in my area. Nice finds Jack!
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before
