Whatever happened to...
Decorations:
Screaming welcome mats. Step on them and they scream.
Bleeding hand candles. When the wax melted, it looked like blood.
Making scarecrows out of old costumes.
Old sound activated decorations. Clap and they make a noise like this, "ooooo-eeee-ooooo.....!"
Food and candy:
Slimey Slurps, Dem Bones, Gummy Mummies Skull Suckers, (Dem Bones were a pack of Sweet Tartesque bones that you can lay on a table, piece it together, and make a skeleton. Skull Suckers were candy skulls, or heads that were attached to an accordion tube filled with red or green syrup. You'd put it in your mouth, squeeze the tube, and the stuff came out of the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth of the skull.)
Monster Pops? Icepops that were in the shape of Universal monsters
Halloween Punch. My Grandma used to get me these. They came in orange in a Jack O'Lantern bottle, and grape came in a witch head shaped bottle.
Toys-R-Us used to sell a big plastic jar of fun size Snickers bars. The jars came in white, which looked like a ghost, and green, which looked like a blob/monster.

There were Screaming door mats @ BigLots last year. Bleeding candles were at Gardenridge, also, last year.
Don't know about the candy. All I eat is chocolate.

Supply and demand. Whatever you found a bunch of on clearance last year probably won't even be in the store this year. I haven't seen a lot of bleeding hand candles in the past few years but most people said they didn't work right at all, so stores may have simply stopped carrying them if they didn't sell.

I bought a screaming doormat from Big Lots last year! It's pretty cool.
What ever happened to:
Sneezing portraits that Wal-Mart used to sell?? They would "sneeze" and shoot out water. I used to have one, and then (shoot me), I threw it away!!
These were so cool...

I've seen the other stuff off and on...last year Target had a huge awesome candle that was shaped like a black skull, with medieval markings. It bleeds red wax out of it's sockets and nose now! I still have it...burning it only for special occasions.
