I'm acting like I will still be able to and making things. I'm hoping I will be able to but I'll be having surgery at the end of the month and will be out for 6 weeks afterward. I'm not sure if I will be physically able to set it all up. I might just be able to hand out candy at the door. I'm bummed![]()

Life is too short to not do what makes us happy, keeps us sane, or both.

Oh I am so sorry! I hope that everything is OK? I'm sure that you must be disappointed but your health is the most important thing. So sit back, relax and just enjoy the tot's. I'm sure next year you'll be back with vengance!!! Good luck with the surgery.

That sucks, hope you're okay, and you will get better. Well, if you can't do this year, you'll come back twice as haunting next year!

If you think you may not be able to pul it off by yourself, maybe enlist some help now. There might be a few folks who would assist in getting your things set up, and even help on Halloween night. Ultimately, your health comes first and while it might be a down year, you can still enjoy Halloween in some way and as mentioned, come back bigger and better in 2012.

I remember feeling like that last year mementomori so what I did was took a few things out, simple props and minimal. Sure it was not the same as previous years but I did it just so I had a glimmer of halloween in me. Everyone's right, next year you'll have more time to pull off your best year! Think of it this way, you're keeping everyone in suspense.....Tot's will be guessing what you''re up to. LOL

Well that stinks that you may need to pass up this Halloween... But it is more important to focus on your health so you may have many more Halloweens to enjoy!

You can also ask friends or family to volunteer their time and help out with the decor??... Maybe?... Well I wish you the best of luck nevertheless!
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

So sorry about your having to have surgery Memento, I wish you a safe and speedy recovery.
Would it be possible to enlist some help? Its really too bad that you have to miss out on something you enjoy. If I were closer I'd help you to set up in a second.
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.
