my poor facebook friends have already have to deal with a couple of halloween posts, and some of them have no idea how much more of it will be coming in the next few months..... LOL

wish i had at least ONE friend who REALLY got it. instead, mine just... deal with my insanity. LOL

and i have to say i got a couple of strange looks at the dollar tree when all i bought was halloween stuff LMAO

Oh no...my friends and family think I'm totally bonkers. I share the Halloween countdown with my friends and they think I'm nuts.

Like you...I think it would be great to have a friend or family member that got as excited about it all as I do. I drag DH and kidlets into this every year. Not that they don't have a good time with it...but they just don't feel it all year the way I do.

We are a breed apart ! The funny thing about Halloween is you either love it or hate it ! There are alot of folks that are like this about Christmas ! On my facebook last year I did the 31 days of Halloween and my friends loved it ! (All 48 of them ! ) They know that I love Halloween and that will be my legacy long after I am gone !

yeah, thats why it is so nice to come here and be with like minded folks, hubby deals with it, cuz he know I love it, but I know he wants to do some other type of camping rather than my haunts,, I have some friends that deal with it cuz they care about me, but mostly people think I am a bit nuts, (camping this past week, made a witch head on the picnic table, either folks came up and loved it, or looked at me like I am nuts~), and , I also have had some halloween on fb, but that is what I like , so it is going to be there~
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

I think there are generally two types of Halloween lovers on this site. There are the folks that love the holiday traditions, decorating, planning props and haunts, and making a major event out of TOTing. Halloween is a BIG event- but it's not an everyday theme. I would place myself (and probably most posters here) in that category.

Then there are the folks that REALLY live the Halloween theme all year long. In addition to the above mentioned stuff, they keep decorations (and sometimes make-up and costume elements) going all throughout the year. Skulls and pumpkins appear as car accessories. Spider jewelry and bat tattoos adorn their person... etc. All Halloween- all the time!

There's room for everybody, thank goodness!

And there will always be people that just don't get it. I would say my family tolerates my Halloween-ness with good humor... kinda like one would indulge a slightly slow-witted child. LOL

i think my hubby is actually stressing over it this year. back in april he had a stroke and hes now partially paralyzed and cant use his right arm or hand at all (and can barely walk). hes my heavy stuff, build me this man, but obviously cant anymore. so, he hasnt said anything, but i know hes wondering how im going to do some of my stuff... or maybe secretly hoping i wont... LOL

i say, where theres a will, theres a way! LOL
