I have been wanting to do an old man who is a caretaker in my graveyard. He will be hunched over holding a lantern. I found the lantern today just like I want. Big Lots is starting to get rid of summer stuff and citronella candles and the like are on sale. They have several lanterns, I picked this one up for $3.50. A little aging an I am happy!

I bought two earlier on in the season and thought they were great, think i also posted a pic of them with some wagon wheels I bought from there (also now on summer clearance if you can find them. This was all going to be part of a circus or gypsy wagon to be built one year). Someone else mentioned they bought them on summer clearance Recently and when I was last in a BL I looked for them again to see if I could get some on clearance. One store had one and the other store had 4. However all the ones left on the shelf were missing the bottom piece, which is sort of a plug to keep the candle from dropping out. Didn't care about the missing candle but really wanted the whole lantern. You got lucky finding a complete one.

I need a couple lanterns. May stop in tonight or tomorrow to see if my BL has these. 3.50, cant beat that.

I bought 2 of those a few weeks ago. They were 30% off....guess they marked them down to 50% off now. Maybe I'll go see if they have any left after dinner tonight.

Bah. Ran in, they didnt have any. Almost all the summer stuff is gone.

I bought one of those at Big Lot's earlier in the summer....That and a Phillips MP3 dock stereo player (think Bose sound dock)....I light a tea candle for in the lantern and kick back in the recliner and listen to Hauntcast on the player while watching the lantern flicker across the room...Best relaxation therapy I've found in awhile.....ZR
