Does anyone know any Halloween superstores or the like in the UK? Spirit ships internationally but the shipping can get expensive fast, but is there at least any place similar in the UK?
I'm looking in to starting to plan for this year's event and need to find somewhere to get stuff for it.![]()

Sadly there's nothing like Spirit over here. It's not only the shipping that's expensive from the U.S, you also have VAT and possibly duty on top to pay depending on the price of the item.
There's online stores over here but their prop selection is meh. Hence my username

Spirit Stores are incredible as are the American Craft stores. Alas we have nothing on that scale, and who knows if we ever will.
Like HSITUK says, be cautious of deliveries from the States, Customs can sting you for it.
Best,
K

If you have a friend to get stuff for you and then ship it as a gift then that helps I find.
Also in this country I found that the chain store Wilkensons has some pretty good Halloween stuff that gets put out every year and they do a fantastic sale afterwards. Marking everything 75% off the day after. Last year I managed to pick up some wonderful skelly ground breakers and skelly spiders and stuff for just £2.50 each.
They have a website and so It's worth keeping an eye out just in case.

The lack of responses here shows our alternatives

I did get some great stuff from Wilkinsons 2 or 3 years ago, but I was very disappointed with their stock last year!

Where abouts are you, because last year at one of their north London branchs I managed to pick up quite few neat things in their sale afterwards. Gillter skulls, ground breakers and some nice grim reapers as well as some cheap vampire in stands.

You have to keep in mind that Halloween is very much optional here in the U.K.
You can try hobby stores like Hobby Craft if your up for making your own things on a small scale. The pound stores (UK equivalent of dollar stores) have some stuff in nearer to October but as one member posted, selection and quality varies from year to year.
I grabbed a few things to bring back when I went home to Canada for a visit last October. Which was nice, but not obviously not practical. Sorry chief. Until we can convert the poor heathens here in England, we're on our own.

Blame Guy Fawkes, he killed Halloween over here. If only he'd plotted earlier in the year.
