Thread: Do you put your animatronics out only on Halloween day/night?

I am up to quite a few animatronics in my collection, and as much I love them, I find myself wondering as cool as they are, are they are worth it as I only used them for Halloween night. Seeing so many new cool ones this year, I am debatting if I should bother into getting any newer ones.

This year, I am hoping (God, please let the weather not be horrifying like most of my Halloween's nights) to put some of my animatronics throught out the month of October (if the weather let's me). I would put them up only for a few hours and reput them back in the house.

What do you think?

Do you leave them out too? or only on Halloween (like I usually do).

I do. Not because I think they might get stolen, but because If I left them out any longer than 4 hours on Halloween; they'd die on me.

Store in the house. I use to store them in the attic, but have since learned from that mistake!

Why? What happened?

I'd assume they'd melt! I know they'd melt in MY attic!!

Melt or malfunction in some fashion. Extreme temps aren't good for anything really.

OH! I don't have overly crazy temps in my attic and this is the only attic I've ever had...so I guess that's why I didn't get it. hah hah.

I put out a lot of my own animatronic props during the month of October that I've built myself-- like my stirring witch, tombstone peeper, opening tombstone, etc. But I bring them inside at night.

I mount my swinging skeleton in the tree at the beginning of Oct. and he stays out there all month. I do cover the motor when it rains, though.

They usually are more my inside display. I do put a couple in my garage haunt, but I found I enjoy them more when I can have them out for a month in my living room, etc.

I do put some in windows early. It helps sets the mood!

I put them out in the basement for the whole month of October. My daughter is still young so she'll go down and make them talk. That way she isn't afraid of them on Halloween night and I get more use out of them than just one night!

The ones that are not waterproof get put out but brought back in everyday the month of october.Except when it rains of course.That is why only a few select pieces get put out every year.I put different ones out each year.I have a golf cart so I tote them on that.Along with my other electronics that will ruin.My wiper motor props I leave out.
