This year, I'm doing something a bit different from the usual haunted cemetery.

I'm doing a Friday the 13th campsite haunt. Couple tents, a small expanding spray foam "burning coals" campfire, and me, dressed as Jason.

I'm think about lighting the tents. But I'm not sure if I should or not.

My question is, if I DO light the tents, what color lights should I use?

    Red? Green? Blue?

Any opinions would be greatly welcomed.

That sounds like a great idea. I built a life-sized Jason for my outside display last year. Blue lights or even strobe lights at night sounds cool for the tents. You can even have mist all around the tents too. Can't wait to see pictures.

OooOooo I agree with the blue lights! That would definitely give a very creepy feel. Couple that with some fog and you will definitely scare some peeps!

I totally agree with everyone, blue is the way to go in this case. I don't know if you have seen the scene setters Friday the 13th set or not, but the tall panels have camp crystal lake in an eerie blue color. You can even get the welcome to camp crystal lake sign.

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting

Oh yeah I forgot to add I'm doing ground hugging fog too. Definitely doing that.

Hmm, blue eh? Sounds interesting. I might put a blue coil light in the porch light socket too then.

If you're going to light the interior of the tents, I wonder if you could put some silhouettes inside who look like they've been murdered? Shadow with a machete shoved through it and the like.

What about some kind of flickering lights in the tents? Like a lantern is burning in there.

yup blue lights, a fogger... get those dim battery tealight candles for the lantern. a silhouette is a good idea too. maybe a whooting owl. now if you could play some sounds like whispering sounds in the background that would super spooky!
