Thread: Our plans for this years haunted house..what do you think

This year we have had many requests to do a hollywood horror theme. I truly
don't believe in hollywood monsters.....but being in a small town in WI....I want to give what the surrounding area kids and adults want. Here are some of my plans. Let me know what you think of it.........

bloody mary scene....girl prop looking in the mirror...once activated...she will bend backwards and spray air at the customers.

Jeepers creepers....using a real school bus....scene from part 2...having the customers entering the bus from the back while having a real person on top dressed in costume...they walk through towards the front with little kid props in every seat and having two live actors within the seats. The customers will not know who is real or not. Once they exit the bus...I will have another actor dress in the same costume as the actor on top of the bus to scare them

Nightmare on elm st scene....using the spark fence effect...having Freddy come towards the customers scaping his metal glove against a metal grid wall panel using a battery charger. Also building steam pipes out of pvc with a fog machine connected to it.

poltergeist scene......little girl prop sitting in front of static tv with her head moving side to side saying they're back....

These are just some of my ideas....Let me know what you think and if you have
any ideas or thoughts on any new scenes.

Sounds great! I have never done a famous monster one before but those I've seen look fantastic!

Those are some great ideas. How about the classic Halloween scene with Michael Myers busting through the closet to get at Lori? Or an Excorcist scene with Regan tied up to the bed and the priest covered in pea soup?

I loooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee the Jeepers Creepers idea, I am still kicking myself because I missed out on a pair of his wings earlier this summer on craigslist.

Sounds great. I love the bloody Mary idea. u should do a hellraiser scene with all chains hanging from the ceiling with body parts and flesh all over the place.

Great ideas. The Jeepers Creepers scene with a real bus sounds great. Only problem there may be getting the monster to look right. It is an elaborate costume. Though if he is just gonna be on top of the bus maybe he won't be seen closely.

Like the Freddy sparking glove idea too. Just make sure to get that metal-on-metal sound too...that is important.

I'd worry about the guy falling off the bus...other than that, it sounds cool

My wife worries about him on the bus too. I am just gonna have him stand there and not move at all. Thanks for the comment need all the advice I can get.

hee hee, I would be so enthralled with pulling it off I would have never worried about someone falling off.
